Our Process
Phelps-Dickson is a very detail-oriented company, effectively managing our construction projects by integrating the following proven business methods:

• Safety
  Phelps-Dickson takes great care in hiring only qualified, pre-approved subcontractors. Weekly safety meetings are held with the subcontractors to review requirements as well as predict and identify any possible safety hazards.
    
• Communication
  Phelps-Dickson makes every effort to understand the needs and expectations of our clients. We believe this is a key element in the building process. Phelps-Dickson values the art of communication and regularly holds meetings to insure everyone involved from owners to personnel to subcontractors are kept well informed.
    
• Scheduling
  We use the latest construction management software, allowing us to effectively create, maintain and update schedules as necessary. Weekly progress reports are generated to easily identify any scheduling delays and react accordingly.
    
• Quality control
  Phelps-Dickson uses various checklists at each stage of the construction process to eliminate and minimize errors prior to advancing to the next building stage.

 
Our Experience
Brad Phelps began his successful career working on a $33 million 150 Inpatient Bed Facility at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center, an $18 million Distribution and Processing Facility for the United States Postal Service, a $40 million Renovation of the Sahara Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and the Entertainment & Sports Arena for the Carolina Hurricanes and NC State Basketball program.
 
In the process of starting his own business, Brad met his business partner, Steve Dickson. Since 1974, Steve Dickson has been building homes and developing communities throughout the Triangle area. His leadership and experience continues to contribute to the success of Phelps-Dickson Builders.
